Help a bee

The project aims to promote a consciousness about the environment and the importance of bees and insects for a sustainable life in Europe and in the world. Imagining a trip around the partner's countries will connect pupils in the respect and awareness of the importance of bees . It will also be a way to discover other countries, cultures and languages and to use a CLIL methodology developing the content of the project and English as a second language to favorite the communication.

Our goals

  • Transmit to new generations the fundamental importance of bees in the relationship between man and the environment;
  • Encourage team spirit and a sense of responsibility towards everything around them: schoolmates, family and environment;
  • Working in a international team in a positive, organized, collaborative climate promoting knowledge of the structure social, communicative of the bees;
  • Experiment with the English language as a means of communication between partners and in relation to the project .

Description

The project will develop through some motivational and brainstorming phases for the students and an initial study phase that also involves families in the process. Through a shared toolbox, children will be able to learn to recognize pollinating insects and target plants. The participating classes will receive a letter from a scared bee and commit to the promise of planting a small space dedicated to bees or making structures suitable for hosting their nests. This will facilitate the journey of the collaboratively constructed mediator character who will fly in the different gardens prepared for her in each country . The collaborative realization of the bee's journey tale and of a multilingual song will represent the active action carried out by all the children
